One or more "PC's" connected to a LAN network can be configured to monitor transactions, and program cards if allowed to do so. Remote "PC's" are pathed over the network to a common Microsoft Access database. This insures real-time synchronization of cardholder records. Remote operators can unlock doors or gates, view transactions real-time, with pop up photos of cardholders as their cards are used for access. Full distributed processing means the access control system is unaffected when any "PC" is turned off or crashes. The 4200 Network Controller retains a copy of the entire system database at all times and is not dependent on the computer for anything.
